Collection: Caribbean Calcite

Explore our Caribbean Calcite Collection, featuring carefully selected specimens recognized for their distinctive ocean-toned coloration and naturally layered mineral structure. Caribbean Calcite is a relatively recent trade name for a combination of blue calcite and white to tan aragonite, formed through sedimentary mineral deposition over long geological periods.

These formations develop when calcium carbonate-rich solutions crystallize in layered environments, often within limestone deposits. Variations in mineral content, pressure, and growth conditions create the soft blue hues and cream-to-sand banding characteristic of this material. The contrasting aragonite layers form under slightly different crystal structures than calcite, producing the unique textures and patterns seen in each specimen.
